ABID invites Interior Designers and Architects to participate in IDEA – Interior Design Excellence Awards 2026, celebrating outstanding achievements in Interior Design across Eastern India.
In 2026, IDEA evolves beyond a conventional awards platform — recognizing not only the depth of designers’ thinking, but also the products, materials, craftsmanship, and decisions that collectively shape a space and bring a designer’s vision to life.
This is a call for submissions for completed projects that demonstrate bold, progressive, and thoughtful approaches to interior environments.
Open to both emerging talent and established practices, IDEA welcomes entries across all ages and experience levels.
This year, IDEA celebrates the diversity of spaces and the depth of thought designers bring to them. Projects must reflect the impact of design on diverse users and experiences, and should fall under one of the following six broad
Interior Designers and Architects representing any design practice, including proprietary ownerships, partnership firms, and private or public limited companies with head offices located in Eastern India are eligible — Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Manipur.
Projects submitted may be located anywhere across India, but must have been completed between March 2024 and May 2026 (within the last two years).
The completed (executed) projects may be submitted under any of the following five broad categories. Each category includes a list of suggested functional typologies for reference.
